Where School Vaping Happens: A Fall Brief for Parents

Families do not need slogans this fall. They need clear information about where youth access is being reported, who responds, and how fast enforcement reaches the source.

Alberta rules already prohibit vaping on school and childcare properties and set penalties for minors who possess or consume vaping products. The next fall question is whether families can see where the access problem starts before students arrive on school property.

  • Ask for reporting that separates school-property use from the actual source of products.
  • Ask whether complaints are routed to schools, health enforcement, police, or another team.
  • Ask for prevention material that families can use before the problem becomes a suspension.
